About
Introducing THRIVE, a dynamic workshop series brought to you in collaboration with Trydent, a leading consulting firm for nonprofits. This 9-week strategic planning program will give participating nonprofit organizations the tools and resources to create strong strategies to overcome challenges commonly faced by nonprofit organizations. Participants will be given guidance on creating an impact assessment, financial management strategies, storytelling for their organization, effective fundraising strategies, risk management, and creating a social lean canvas. Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to successfully implement learned principles to their organization’s operations and create a strategic plan by using relevant principles and templates.

Detailed Overview
Impact Assessment
Participants will identify their organization’s mission, vision, and values and align them with the overall goals of their organization to create an impact assessment. Participants will also be able to identify the inputs, outputs, and action items needed to achieve the goals of the organization by utilizing handouts and individual direction from program facilitator.
Financial Management
Participants will learn about various fundraising strategies, how to create a financial committee and regulate their organizations cashflow, allowing them to make smarter financial decisions and improve programs by creating specified budgets.
Storytelling
Participants will learn about the impact of storytelling to convey their mission, vision, and value to the community and build relationships with donors to secure further funding. After this session, participants will have the tools to tell the story of their organization in a compelling and effective manner.
Fundraising
Participants will learn about the primary fundraising efforts utilized for nonprofit organizations, how to secure grant funding, the importance in diversifying their fundraising portfolio, and how to build strong and lasting relationships with donors to increase the probability of continuous funding.
Risk management
Participants will learn about the primary types of risk for nonprofit organizations and the various strategies to mitigate these common risks, allowing them to identify and mitigate the risks associated with their own organization and industry.
Social Lean Canvas
Participants will be provided with an overview of the Social Lean Canvas and create one for their own organization using a template and individual guidance from program facilitator.
